Full Description
{1} C17 to early C18; Cobblers Cottage formerly comprised two cottages, with straight joint and quoins in front elevation between the two; they now (1982) form one dwelling. Two storeys. Coursed stone rubble walls. Thatched roof; centre ridge to former left hand cottage and ridge stud at former centre cottage boundary. Front elevation of four window bays, one doorway and two blocked doorways. From left hand, ledged door with wood lintel; secondly and thirdly, a first floor two-light window with small panes and old hinges above a three-light window with small panes in pegged frame with wood lintel. Fourthly a blocked doorway. Fifthly, to former right hand cottage, a first floor sash window four panes wide above a two-light casement with pegged frame; sixthly, a blocked doorway with wood lintel with inserted round window. Seventhly, a small two-light casement above a ground floor two-light window. Interior said to retain original features of interest eg. Exposed beams etc.
