Full Description

{1} This elegant building was completed in October 1869 as the home of leading businessman and former Mayor James Berridge Norman. Designed in the Gothic style by the leading town architects of the time, EF Law and Sons, the house still retaines many of its original architectural features. It was built by J&D Ireson and Son and the front entrance hall is regarded as a fine example of the stonemason's art. In 1929 it became a members' club.
