{1} There was a WLA hostel in Kislingbury – backing on the Ashby’s Fields. Hostel described as being built in a T shape with dormitory, ablutiosn and drying block as the cross bar of the T, and the dining/communal room as the rest. Goes on with a more detailed description of building and life therein for the 20 inmates. Possible hostel may have been located on site of current Village Hall in Ashby Court.
