Full Description

{1} A shallow ditch aligned north-south, c3.4m wide and at least 0.28m deep. A stoney ridge down the centre of the feature suggests that it comprised two adjacent, parallel cuts. Numerous roots and a poorly defined edge suggest a hedgeline may have been along the eastern edge. The nature of the fill and map evidence suggests that the ditch is probably post medieval and a pre-enclosure field boundary.

{2} Further investigation of the ditch established that it was 0.97m deep and was a single ditch, not a multiple ditch as had originally been thought.
