Full Description

{1} Covering the northern half of the excavation was a section of a former river channel that would have formed part of the meander to the east of the water mill. Prior to the meander being cut-off, it had migrated west and south and eroded the northern side of the mill race. The excavated areas of the paleochannel contained one piece of animal bone, a shaft of a cattle humerus with unidentified concretions.
