The present stream appears to be following its natural course, which must have been the by-pass channel when a leat higher up the south-west side of the value was feeding water to the mill. This leat is vaguely discernible in places and is empty of flowing water. The route of the tail-race is not evident.
The mill appaears to have been demolished a long time ago. There is the stonework of what was possibly a low two-sotorey building attached to, or part of, the west gable of the existing three storey brick building with a gabled roof.
