Summary
The Counties Crematorium, also known as Milton Crematorium was built in 1939 for The Counties Crematorium Ltd, it was designed by J P Chaplin and built W S Lusher who often worked with Chaplin on church commisions. The building consists of a central chapel with a domed roof, with extending wings which terminate in pavillions. The cremation chamber was placed behind the chapel and there are columbaria for the reception of ashes.
