Full Description

{1} An almshouse for 10 poor and infirm and guests was built as soon as the collegiate church was completed after 1411. It was dissolved with the college in 1539.

{2} No further information locally or in County Record Office. Almost
certainly aligned to TL 09 SE 2.


{?} Documentary evidence: medieval hospital attached to and owned by the college. Almshouses were to be built with 10 beds for the poor. A plan for these was made and there is a model displayed in the church made by P.G. Dickinson in 1944 from foundation lines viewed from the tower.
