Full Description
{1} Owners from November 1871 Butlin Bevan & Co. and from 27th June 1889 Butlin Bevan & Co.Ltd., and closure in 1891. There are practically no traces of this quarry althought in 1874 records show an output of 1000tons per week substancial for the time. There was a narrow guage tramway the LNWR Northampton to Peterborough line at Ringstead and Addington station half a mile to the southeast on higher ground. Horse power is believed to have been used. Production ceased in 1891 and the system was dismantled.
