Monument record 2689/1 - Romano-British Cemetery, north of Yarwell Mill

A Romano-British cemetery was found at Yarwell which yielded seven burials and pottery in 1953.

{1} Features and finds recorded in 1953. Seven Romano-British inhumations with Romano-British pot sherds. Records lost. TL07419755.

{5} Mr Barber, now a housemaster at Oakham School, could not remember the above site and said he has now disposed of his notebooks. The farmer knows nothing of the site.

{6} OS 'site of cemetery' has a dark area at TL07409755.

{7} This RB burial ground, Yarwell, yielded 7 burials and pottery in 1953.
