Full Description
{2} Gt Houghton Hall was used as a hostel in WWII "for children with special problems who could not be billeted in private homes".
{4} The present Great Houghton school is on the site of the 17th century Atterbury Manor. It was never large and had no resident Lord, and is thus unlikely to have had substantial buildings.
