Full Description

{1} Remains of ridge and furrow survive where parts of two ridges parallel to the southern hedgeline are visible. An air photo taken in 1946 shows that ridge and furrow previously occupied the entire field. A former field boundary survives as a slight hollow which runs from the pond at the south of the field to the existing northern fenceline.
The ridge and furrow and field boundary were both identified by the geophysics survey. The ridge and furrow was seen as two parallel lines, c.20m apart, running at right angles to the former field boundary.
