Summary
The hospital was built in 1913 to designs by J.B.Williams, a single-storey building of red brick with slated, gabled roof. Alterations and additions in the 1930's, and by 1943 there was also a temporary wooden building for diptheria patients.

English Heritage has received an application to assess Staverton Isolation Hospital for listing. The isolation hospital was built in 1913 and used by the RAF as a hospital throughout the Second World War and later by the American USAAF. The buildings were photographed by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments in England (RCHME) in 1993.
Based on the information provided and with reference to the Principles of Selection (March 2010) and English Heritage’s Selection Guides (2011), Staverton Isolation Hospital is not recommended for listing for the following principal reason.
* Architectural interest: the buildings are typical of their date, demonstrating little further architectural interest or innovation.
