Full Description

{1} An enclosed spinney is marked on the 1587 survey just within the southern deer park pale, and appears to be part of Hatton's post 1580 planting scheme as it is not shown on earlier mapping. There may be a structure at its south-east corner, possibly a gate.

{2} Lidar imagery shows extensive ridge and furrow earthworks within the woodland. An area of quarrying may be present in the northern part of the wood.
