1973 Pit wheel, wallower, great spur wheel and stone nuts remained in burnt-out hursting. An electrical generator stood on the remaining parts of the floor over the wheel race indicating the waterwheel may have been used for generating electricity for the Priory after corn milling had ceased.
Documentary sources: Shown un-named on Eyre's and Jefferies' 1791 map; 1814 survey plan for OS marks it Cosgrove Mill; and bryant's 1827 map marks it Cosgrave Mill.
A straight leat, over 300m long, is clearly visible although dry. Brickwork at the sides of the mill race and tail pond also survive.
