Full Description
{1} Enclosure system parallel to the upper reaches of Oak Ditch. Comprises a roughly rectangular outer enclosure (60m by 55m); a sub-rectangular inner enclosure 50m by 30m with two opposing entrances in each. May be an annex to the north-east. Concentration of Iron Age pottery found in area of enclosures.
{2} In the northern field at least two broad phases may be distinguished, with a double-ditched enclosure (A), and larger rectilinear enclosures with possible drove roads (B). Iron Age pottery recovered from fieldwalking coincides with the oval enclosure and may suggest that it formed the original settlement.
