Full Description
{1} Enclosure system comprising three rectilinear enclosures and a separate enclosure defined in part by two concentric ditches. The enclosures only partly lay within the survey area. Appeared to share common boundaries and had broadly similar dimensions of 45-55m across. A concentration of Iron Age pottery was found within the area of the enclosures - suggesting an Iron Age date for the origin of the settlement. An examination of the pottery appeared to suggest a date of 2nd century BC and early 1st century AD.
