Summary
A Wesleyan Methodist chapel and an attached Sunday school were built in 1840 and are situated on the northern side of Main Street, to the rear of Yarwell Stores. The buildings are perpendicular to the road with the chapel at the northern end with a linking passageway to the Sunday school building to the south. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble with double pitch slate roofs. The eastern elevation of the chapel has two tiers of casement windows under cambered rubble arches with two similar windows on the western elevation that have been inserted into former doorways.

Full Description
{1} A Wesleyan Methodist chapel and an attached Sunday school were built in 1840 and are situated on the northern side of Main Street, to the rear of Yarwell Stores. The buildings are perpendicular to the road with the chapel at the northern end
{2} Built 1840, with cottage and Sunday-school added at the south end. The chapel originally had two doorways in the west wall now altered to windows. The present south entrance is approached through a passage behind the cottage, in which is a separate doorway leading to a deep south gallery. The interior has been refitted.
{3} Built in 1840, the licence being granted on 23td July of that year. In the mid 19th century, a block with a passage was built against this gable, and a second entrance was made for access to a gallery installed at the time. A Sunday school above the passage opened off the gallery, but is now partitioned off and alienated. Windows have cast-iron frames and glazing bars. Plan of chapel.
