Full Description
{3} Hartwell had one mill in 1086, rendering 17s 4d. There is reference to a Bosnome Mill in 1672. In 1766 the miller was John Harris. The mill was advertised for sale in 1862, along with its machinery. In 1910 the mill was also for sale, as the miller, Mr Cave, was leaving. By the 1950s the mill was derelict and was later demolished. The site has been cleared but some watercourses remain. Site inspection was carried out 15/08/2001.
