Summary
Aircraft BD422 was an Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mark V, British heavy bomber. It was one of a batch od 157 such aircraft delivered by Armstrong Whitworth, Baginton, between February and July of 1942. It was possibly part of 19 Operational Training Unit and then 296 squadron. On the 22nd of March 1943, it collided whilst flying in formation, with aircraft LA827, and crashed at Fotheringhay.
