Full Description
{1} “OAK AVENUE” (also known as “CHURCH AVENUE”) earthworks. This is now an avenue comprising two rows of
mature trees but in 1947 there were several large gaps in the tree cover and evidence of recent felling. The lidar images suggest the southern side of this avenue is marked in part by a narrow ditch, but it is not clear if this was contemporary with the original layout of the avenue or a later addition. This avenue runs south-west to north-east across the northern part of the park. (1- 2)
