Full Description
{1} AP No.43. Linear banks are visible as earthworks and parchmarks just beyond the south-eastern boundary of the
park on historic air photos and on the lidar data. The banks that are visible between SP96817976 and SP96998005, and the short branch at SP96947993 can be traced over a distance of approximately 340m on both historic air photos and the lidar data. The greater part these banks lie at the interface between two different alignments of ridge and furrow ploughing (see AP no. 9), suggesting that they are contemporary plough headlands, although one small section appears to be cut by the furrows. The section centred at SP9675 7966 is not visible on the air photos and can only be detected on the lidar data, which may suggest that it is a more recent disturbance. (1-2)
