Full Description

{1} A stone structure whose construction cut was probably bowl-shaped and lined with limestone blocks forming a right angle on the western and southern sides and following the line of the cut on the north eastern side. To the north east was a rectangular extension. Many of the limestone blocks showed heat discolouration but there was evidence that some may have been reused from a previous structure. The one sherd of pottery recovered may be residual.
The distinctive form of the structure with its stone lining and flue suggests that it may have been an oven.
