Monument record 5242/0/6 - Medieval Ridge & Furrow Cultivation

{1} Ridge and furrow was present in most of the trenches in an east-westerly direction, corresponding with the geophysical survey.

{2} Areas of ridge and furrow shown in figure 72.

{3} Medieval remains of ridge and furrow were noted across the site and sampled in the northern part. Each was filled with a single grey-brown silty clay and both furrows examined had a shallow U-shaped profile.
