{1} {2} A bronze statue of a steelworker by N Grevatte erected in 1989 is one of the few visual signs of the town's raison d'etre. With bronze reliefs depicting the town's history on the plinth, it was relocated in 2011 and dedicated to workers killed at the steelworks.
