Full Description

{1} Dark soil, burnt stone, bone colour-coated & samian sherds. Main finds at north end of site, more stone at south end.

{2}Roman pottery, tiles, limestone, etc. have been found. A very indistinct subrectangular enclosure, covering about 1.5 hectares, is visible on air photographs, surrounding the area of finds.

{3} Fieldwalking survey; limestone rubble and Roman pottery sherds;

{4} The site was under corn stubble. Some RB pottery was found but the 'black patches' were not identified.

{5} SP 973862. Black patches, stone and tile, C4th sherds and a coin of Constantine.

{6} Area SP 97258620 Black patches & RB pottery.
