Full Description
{1} Several magnetically strong anomalies were recorded, some coinciding with an earthwork apparently relating to a spring. While it is possible that they relate to archaeological features, there is no obvious context for them. A scatter of ferrous responses was detected and such debris, lying in the topsoil, may also account for the pit type anomalies
{2} An area of limestone with occasional brick fragments and broken land drain coincides with the geophysical anomaly, and is probably associated with the spring. It could be an old pond or other drainage feature.
