{1} History:
1312 Wykemulne mentioned in Assize Rolls
c.1350 Robert de Molendino at Wicken, listed in Lay Subsidy rolls
1717 Mill was part of the estate of William Hosier, a London merchant
1801 Opening of the Buckingham branch of the Grand Union Canal may have upset the water supply to the mill

Documentary sources: 1717 map of lands of William Hosier in Wicken shows "the mill and mill yard"; Eyre's 1779 map shows Mount Mill Farm and a mill symbol (but in a different place to the other maps); 1814 survey {3} plan for OS marks Mount Mill; bryant's 1827 map gives the work Mill level with Mount Mill Farm but gives no symbol for a mill.

No evidence for the mill surviving today.
