Full Description
{1} At SP97677243 a limestone wall footing was revealed within a pipe trench. Pits and ditches extended for some way up to SP97757254. Sherds recovered were from the C12th to the early C14th. Posisbly the site of West Cotton or Wylwencotes, hitherto unlocated.
{2} Building and foundation 3ft deep; 13th-14th century pot sherds.
{3} A pipe line trench cutting across the area revealed limestone wall footings with pottery of the C12th to early C13th.
{4} A limestone wall footing together with pottery dating to the C12th to C14th. (Marked 'J' on Fig.1.4)
