Full Description
{1} The enclosure thus formed contained scarps and banks forming closes or perhaps garden plots; a very disturbed group of scarps in the centre were probably the remains of a building. The OS surveyors recorded two other embanked or scarped structures to the north, probably also former buildings. Beyond were other scarps and banks. This area was probably the site of the post-medieval manor house and its gardens recorded by Bridges.
