Full Description
{1} Identified by South Northamptonshire Council as being a building of historic and/or architectural significance.
{2} Analysis and plan. 25 High Street is a 19th-century addition to the earlier (probably 17th century) No 23. No 25 was surveyed when it was being renovate. Apart from two spine beams with cut and scoop stops, considered to be re-used here, there was little evidenc to suggest an earlier date.
No 23 is of three bays aligned north to south and set gable end onto the road. Evidence in the street-gable indicates that it began as a single-storey building and was subsequently raised to two full storeys with three centrally positioned gable-end windows. Judging from the roof pitch it was still thatched.
