Building record 728/0/50 - Former methodist Chapel, 4 Bradden Road

The building is a mid 19th-century Methodist Chapel with later early 20th-century additions.

{1} Identified by South Northamptonshire Council as being a building of historic and/or architectural significance.

{2} The chapel building is L-shaped in plan, raised up from the street area and contained by a low brick wall, the main part of the building is double storey, with a one storey addition to the east and which sits above a small cellar area, there is also a two storey accommodation building attached.
A survey was undertaken of the chapel, but not the attached accommodation building. The building is a mid 19th-century Methodist Chapel with later early 20th-century additions. It is typical in style and layout for a Methodist Chapel of the latter half of the 19th century. Its style is of the Gothic Revival, a style which was prominent throughout the second half of the 19th century, while it's later 20th-century extension has mimicked this style but in less detail. The building's exterior is in a good state of repair. The interior is somewhat dilapidated, ceilings are in-part missing and virtually none of the original fixtures or fittings associated with the original use of this building remain.
