Summary

This shoe factory was built c1870 on the corner of Lorne Road and Bailiff Street. It is of brick with a slate roof. The earliest phase has two storeys and attics and may have been at least partly domestic in function. A three-storey rear range was added within a few years.

Full Description

{1} Boot and Shoe factory, dated c.1875. Two main ranges: a two and a half storey range with domestic style detailing ocupying the corner and a three storey rear range of industrial appearance extending along Lorne Road.
