Summary

There were two mills in Patishall at Domesday in 1086. No mill is marked in this location in the late 18th century, but it is shown on Bryant's map of 1827 and advertised for sale in 1817 and again in 1837. Dismantled by 1919.

1086 Domesday survey recorded for Pascelle two mills rendering 32d
1817 Pattishall Mills advertised for sale, when they were in the occupation of Mr. Thomas Hart and in full trade
1837 Advertisement for sale of Pattishall Mill, the whole of the machinery, consisting of a large waterwheel and shaft, pit wheel and upright shaft, one pair of French stones and one pair of peak stones, dressing machines
1919 Described as dismantled.

Documentary sources: Eyre and Jeffries' 1791 map does not show the mill or the stream; Bryant's 1827 map shows the mill, unnamed; 1834 1 inch OS map marks it Mill.
