Full Description

{1} Several iron Age coins have been found in the parish; some are said to have come from the Iron Age site (HER ref 15) or from the Roman villa (HER ref 366) but these attributions seem uncertain. The coins include a British 'Remic' gold stater, a bronze coin of Tasciovanus, three bronze coins of Cunobelinus and an inadequately recorded gold quarter stater.

{6} A bronze coin, legend "ver", type 172 of Tasciovanus; three bronze coins of Cunobelinus types 221, 242 and unknown; and one inadequately recorded gold quarter stater. Coins listed under the record for the Roman villa site.
