Full Description

{1}Dense vegetation; ewks occupied by many trees but in parts slightly more open than surrounds with clumps of grass; standing water within central part of pond; form of pond more closely resembles substantial ditch embanked around all sides & with 2 long banks forming islands within N&S parts; banks approx 1.5m high & up to 5m wide; series of short adjoining arms more pronounced than shown on OS plan; additional 7+ arms present within southern part; sketch plan; several have shallower & narrower thresholds close to their junction with the main channel; their far ends are deeper & broader in character;

{2} In Old Pond Close there is [a pond] which consists of two narrow parallel channels which meet in the centre where there are short extensions to either side. This is shown on a map of 1760 {3}.
