Summary

Archaeological monitoring carried out during groundworks for a new house revealed an undated ditch, presumably a field drainage ditch or a field boundary.

Full Description

{1} A shallow ditch, aligned north-south and at least 4m in length was revealed. Its southern end terminated within the house foundations while its northern end continued beyond the baulk. It was V-shaped and measured 1.2m in width and 0.5m in depth. There were no finds. The ditch was probably either a field drainage ditch or a property division.
