Building record 2723/1/3 - Late 18th/ early 19th century cow hovel

{1} This building is the earliest of the projecting ranges standing perpendicular to the linear range, having been recorded on the 1839 Tithe Map.
The building is red brick with a modern slate roof, possibly imported The bricks are laid in a Flemish Garden Wall bond with modern lime mortar pointing. The building is a four bay open-fronted building, with the adjacent yard area now grassed over; the building was originally built as a cow hovel, with the open front facing the yard to the south east. There is a single door on the north east gable.
The interior has been renovated; there is an internal blockwork skin and cement render. There is a modern Queen post truss roof.
