Full Description

{1} A partially ruined two storey stone building, unroofed. It contains a belfast sink with pump and a fireplace with copper. The floor is of hand made brick laid on compacted earth. Joist holes are clearly visible showing the former presence and location of the upper floor which was accessed by ladder and had a window. Roof and first floor were removed in 1960, being unsafe.
This small detached building shows evidence of having been a small dwelling. It may have provided accommodation for workers on the site. At the same time and/or later it was used as a wash house.
