Full Description
{1} Three features were encountered:
A shallow linear ditch aligned roughly north-south in the south-east corner of the site. This was between 2.5 and 3m wide and c.0.36m deep. Its fill contained a single sherd of medieval pottery and a fragment of degraded bone. This ditch may represent a medieval field boundary.
A smaller linear ditch to the west of the first ditch but on roughly the same alignment. It was c.1.1m wide x 0.4m deep, narrowing to the north. No finds were recovered.
A slightly curving linear gully was located in the centre of the stripped area. It was c.0.4m-0.6m wide x 0.2m deep. No finds were recovered.
