Full Description

{1} Trench 16: at the south-west end of the trench the garden soil was truncated by the foundations of a brick and limestone wall, possibly forming part of a building shown in this location on historic maps. To the north of the wall was a relatively uniform layer of pitched, unfrogged bricks, set end-down but of unknown purpose.
