Full Description

{1} Trench 1 revealed a series of gullies and ditches, mostly aligned north-east to south-west. One gully however was orientated north-west to south east, and was cut by the other ditches and gullies. Because of the waterlogged conditions it was only possible to excavate one gully and five postholes.
The alignment of nearly all of the ditches and gullies suggests that they may be previous boundaries for properties adjacent to the trench.
