Full Description

{1} At the north-east end of Trench 2 was a layer of mortar and limestone fragments 2.14m wide, and which contained Roman pottery, tile and animal bone. This layer was cut by a north-west to south-east aligned ditch which was 0.3m deep, but its full width was not exposed beyond the end of the trench. Its fill contained Roman pottery and animal bone.
