Full Description

{1} Occupation of the site continued through from the late Iron Age to the early Romano-British period, with features dateable to this period dispersed across the excavated area.
A small possible four-post structure (Building 1) 3.70m x 1.56m internally, was recorded in the southern part of Area 1, and was dated only by a single fragment of Samian ware from one of the postholes. This may have been deliberately placed as such pottery is rare on this site. Building 1 may be the successor to Building 2, located immediately to the north-east, and dated to the Late Iron Age.
