Full Description

{1} Geophysical survey has identified a concentration of high resistance anomalies in the north-western corner of the survey area in an area where ‘noisy’ magnetic data had been recorded by magnetometer survey. The anomalies comprise two small approximately square, features.
The small square features are about 9m across, and of similar size. Further high resistance readings may indicate a third square feature to the south, but this was not established with any certainty. The regularity of the features and their high resistance values suggests the remains of stone or brick walls. The eastern of the two square features is marked as a small building on 1950s Ordnance Survey maps, however the date and function of the other square feature is unknown, and may be of a much earlier date.

[HER note 11/02/2015: although on the 1950s OS map, Building A is not shown on the First Edition 6 Inch map, thus suggesting that it may be a C20th building.]
