Full Description

{1} Remains of farm buildings were discovered during the watching brief. Some of the buildings were still standing in the 1950s The features comprised a foundation wall and brick floor of a former barn; both of which may have been constructed in the 20th century. A further foundation in the north-western corner of the site comprised a well-made limestone footing in rich lime mortar- this may be of an earlier phase. The northern and western walls of this building have been preserved as a garden wall up to 2.5m high.
