Full Description
{1} Building B forms the northern range of the yard, the building is brick-built, both bricks and bond match those of building A (The brickwork on the principal and rear elevations is laid in a Flemish Garden Wall Bond (three stretcher bricks to one header brick in each course), the gable brickwork is laid in a Flemish Bond (alternate header bricks and stretcher bricks in each course). The standard 9inch x 3inch x 4 ½ inch (220mm x 550mm x 110mm) brick dimensions suggests a post 1830s construction date). The roof is Welsh slate. The principal elevation consists of four blind arches, a close examination of the brickwork indicates these are original; the arches are a decorative flourish.
Internally, the building has a number of modern block-built stalls, but, there are two concrete cow stalls remaining, which along with the door arrangement suggests the building was originally a cow shed or milking parlour. The roof is carried on three composite Queen Post trusses in deal and iron.
At its western end is a smaller bay, subdivided by modern block work into two lesser rooms and probably a feed preparation room
