Summary

Former Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Church Street built in 1811, but altered and walls geightened in 1860. Brick with some coursed rubble at the west end, and stone quoins to older walling in the front. Three-bay north front.

Full Description

{1} Former Wesleyan Chapel. Brick with some coursed rubble at W end and stone quoins to older walling in front; built 1811 but altered and walls raised in 1860. Three-bay N front, original pedimented doorcase with consoles to central entrance between two heightened round-arched windows; two similar windows in gabled W wall. A stone above the N doorway is dated 1811; a tablet at the apex of the W gable is inscribed 'ENLARGED 1860'.
