Monument record 5256/0/1 - Early/middle Saxon pits
Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Three small isolated pits were found in Area 2 of the Grange Park excavations in 1999. Many Saxon features appear to have been truncated by later ploughing and only those located in or adjacent to hollows over iron Age ditch fills seem to have survived.
