Full Description
{1} A number of trenches in the central part of the development contained ditches as well as a few pits. In the large majority of the ditch fills there were no finds. Roman pottery was found in only found in two contexts, with only small amounts in each. An early Neolithic leaf shaped arrowhead was found in the fill of one ditch.
{2} The remains may represent the remaining remnant of a wider settlement truncated by modern activity. Conversely, they might also indicate the presence of a putative Roman or prehistoric settlement on the high ground.
{3} Interpreted as cultivation trenches (or planting trenches).
